Dr. Luke Brog
Dr. Luke Brog is a native of Star Valley. He grew up on a dairy farm in Freedom, Wyoming. He graduated from Star Valley High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He continued his education at Idaho State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology. While at Idaho State, he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Luke then pursued his post-graduate studies at Pacific University where he graduated with honors with his Doctorate of Optometry. While at Pacific University, he became part of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Luke’s thesis for his doctorate was on fixation disparity where he received the Phi Theta Upsilon outstanding research design award.
At Teplick Surgery Centers in Beaverton, Oregon, he received specialized training in performing pre- and post-operative care for LASIK, PRK and cataract patients. He continued at the Eye Institute of Utah with further training in eye disease and eye surgery co-management. He also received invaluable training at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City where he was part of a specialty contact lens fitting area.
Luke started his practice in 2005 and has been serving patients of Star Valley and surrounding areas since that time. He is very committed to providing exceptional care to his patients. He also takes pride in offering state-of-the art equipment and services to his patients, while still maintaining competitive pricing. Dr. Brog is committed to providing the best eye care as close to home as possible. He is certified and has been practicing many surgical procedures. Some such procedures are abrasions, foreign bodies, skin tag removal, selective laser trabeculoplasty (for glaucoma) and YAG capsulotomies. He offers the option of cutting the lenses for glasses into frames with his in-office lab. What can take two weeks in other offices, he can offer in one day to one week in most cases.
